Just in time for Spring: Floral-inspired Jewelry by Chaya Studio

custom_platinum-bands

March 20th officially marked the first day of spring. It will take some time before spring flowers emerge and sprout to full bloom, so in the meantime I’m lusting over the beautiful floral-inspired jewelry of Chaya Caron. Based in South Portland, Maine, Caron draws inspiration for her designs from her love of nature, conscious awareness and Japanese art. She only uses 100 percent recycled precious metals and actively supports Fair Trade gemstone companies.

Prices in Caron’s collections range from $44 – $285. Get a jump-start on Mother Day by purchasing one of the elegant pieces for your mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, and anyone else in your life who deserves a special gift.

Check out some of the beautiful jewelery from Chaya Studio below.

Kensie Summer/Fall 2013 Jewelry Colelction

Royal Rebel: Stone Cluster Pendants ($38)

Last week I attended the Summer/Fall 2013 jewelry preview event of Kensie, held at the company’s beautiful showroom in New York City. I believe a woman’s outfit is never complete with at least one accessory, so I was excited to see the new pieces, which will be available at Macy’s later this year. Whether your style is boho chic, low-key or elegant, there is something for everyone in this collection. The Summer/Fall line is an eclectic mix of colorful statement pieces and metallic jewelry, some of which feature fun geometric shapes.

I am in love with the bangle sets in the “Shine Like Stars” collection, which are engraved with inspirational words (seen below) and will make great gifts for upcoming graduations, birthdays, and other special occasions.

My favorite accessories in the whole room were from the Rooftop Party Gasoline collection. The see-through, lace-like architectural design of the necklaces, earrings and braceltes creates a unique effect and is absoutely stunning.

Designer Spotlight: Barbara Campbell

Designer Barbara Campbell

Designer Barbara Campbell at her jewelry trunk show at Bloomingdale's SoHo in New York City.

This weekend I had the opportunity to stop by Bloomingdales in SoHo to check out the Black and Gold Jewelry Collection of Brooklyn-based designer Barbara Campbell.

Whether your style is edgy, chic, or sophisticated, there is something in this collection for you, which consists of handmade jewelry of vintage buttons, mixed-metal, leather, gold-filled and semi-precious stone.

Launched in fall 2007, each piece is carefully hand-crafted by Campbell, who became inspired to start producing her own line after her mother-in-law handed her natural rocks from the beaches of Montauk, and encouraged her to start designing.

Most noteworthy, nothing in the jewelry line is mass-produced, so you can be rest-assured that you will be the owner of a one-of-a-kind piece.

The Black and Gold collection has everything from long, crystal necklaces to wire-wrap earrings.

Leather bracelets are one of the designer's best-selling items.

Ippolita Jewelry Preview Event

ippolita

Yesterday I attended an event to preview the latest collection by jewelry designer Ippolita. Launched in 1999, her fine jewelry collection consists of beautiful handcrafted bangles, necklaces, rings, bracelets and more, all of which evoke the flair of her native Italy. There’s something for everyone in the Ippolita collection from simple, understated pieces, to glamorous jewelry that will make sure you stand out in a crowd.

Tables were filled with the classic designer jewelry and included Ippolita's signature gold pieces.

The incorporation of bright colored gemstones in the Rock Candy collection makes the jewelry exciting and distinctive.

I am a huge fan of the Glamazon Goddess collection (pictured above), especially the oversized hooped earrings and hand-hammered linked chains. At the event, we were given the opportunity to style a model with our favorite pieces, and I made sure she had on several pieces from the Glamazon Goddess collection (I’ll post the pic of the model as soon as I get it).

I love the edgy, handcrafted look of the jewelry.

My favorite color selection from the Rock Candy collection are the Black Onyx pieces, which look so stylish and elegant. You can never go wrong with the color black.

You can find the Ippolita collection online, as well as in fine department stores and luxury retailers nationwide.
