Kardashian Intimates
Looking back through the many blog posts I’ve written about fashion, I realized I never featured lingerie. So for the first time ever, here it is: a post about lingerie. But today I’m not just featuring any kind of lingerie; I’m featuring intimates from Kardashian Kollection that I had a chance to sneak a peek at, when I attended the Sears Fall 2012 Preview a couple of weeks ago. The undergarments in the collection feature sexy lace, uplifting bras for a busier look, and of course, leopard print designs. Silky slips, corsets, garter panties, and mesh tights are included in the long list of intimates that the sisters fashionably put together.

Last week when I previewed the Kardashian’s new home collection, I also had the opportunity to preview the upcoming swimwear, bag, and accessories that will be launched later on this year. This expansion of their current Kardashian Kollection line shows that there is nothing off-limits for the trio. Take a look below. Which piece can’t you wait to see in stores?

Bed, Bath & Kardashian?
Ever wondered what it would be like to wake up like a Kardashian? Well, wonder no more, because starting this April you will be able to twist and turn underneath the velvety soft sheets of the Kardashian’s new home collection, available exclusively at Sears. In addition to bedding, the collection also includes a home décor and bath line, with all the trimmings you would expect from the three sisters famous for their bling and fervent love of leopard print.
I’ll admit to being somewhat leery and skeptical when arriving to the event to preview the Kardashian Kollection Summer/Fall 2012 & Home Collection, held at The Setai hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. As I walked through the doors I was expecting to see their faces imprinted on a comforter, or flashy “KK” logos plastered on every item asserting their reign. But, surprisingly this wasn’t the case, as I shockingly peered over high-quality, elegant and chic designs. In fact, the brazen KK logo I was expecting to see was unobtrusive, and virtually nowhere to be found unless you picked up an item and squinted at the attached tag. For some reason, this makes me take the line more seriously that I did before arriving at The Setai. It’s easy to brand something with a logo and hope people will but it because of who you are, but when you allow the piece to speak for itself, there is an authenticity to the product that shows that this collection is more than just a name, it’s a lifestyle, and I like it.

New Obsession: The Kardashian Kollection

So I have to admit it, I have been eagerly awaiting the launch of the Kardashian sisters new clothing line for Sears. Honestly, with the success of running their own clothing store, I was surprised that they would design a line to be featured in the stores of a major retailer, but I’m happy they did. The fashion line is exactly what I would except from the trio: figure-hugging clothes, sexy platforms, and glamorous jewelry. The line called, Kardashian Kollection, includes all of the above, in addition to sunglasses, belts, lingerie and handbags.
It was definitely no surprise that during the online 30% off 72-hour pre-sale, which launched August 8th, a majority of the items sold out quickly. Missed the pre-sale? The Kardashian Kollection is available for purchase at sears.com now, and if you use the special coupon code “Kardashian,” you can still take advantage of the 30% off deal.
The Kardashian Kollection will hit Sears stores nationwide on August 26th.
Why do you wear makeup? Plus, stars without makeup!
As far as I could remember, I’ve always been obsessed with makeup. I like watching women apply makeup, applying it on myself, and browsing the newest products on the market. I don’t wear tons of makeup, but if I were going out for a night on the town, I would not feel prepared if I did not at least have a little lip gloss and mascara on. I think a lot of women can agree. It’s very rare to go out to a big event, and find a single woman in the room not wearing at least one cosmetic product, whether it’s a tinted lip balm or mascara. So what is it about beauty products that keep women going back for more? Is it because it helps you feel or look more beautiful? Or, maybe it’s a combination of both. I, personally, have always been amazed to see just how much makeup can transform someone’s face. See below for what some of your favorite celebrities look like without their “face” on.

Kim Kardashian is really stunning with or without makeup. She is, however, the perfect example of how concealer is a great secret weapon if you have dark circles. She also uses false lashes to accentuate her exotic eyes.

Jessica Simpson still looks absolutely gorgeous without pounds makeup on. But, it is amazing how a little bit of eye makeup and lip gloss goes a long way…

There is no doubt that Rusell Brand had to sleep on the couch the day he posted this picture of his wife Katy Perry without makeup (left) on Twitter. The unflattering picture was quickly removed after he posted it.

Even Beyonce doesn’t wake up looking flawless. She relies on a team of hair stylists and makeup artists to make sure she looks her best when out in public.
Hello world! Happy Halloween!
Halloween is just around the corner and whether you decide to be a Fairy Princess or Sultry Vampire Sephora’s Beauty in a Box sets have got you covered, offering inexpensive makeup collections that will get you the best makeup look for your costume, without breaking the bank. I’ve never been the type to dress up on Halloween, so even though these sets are specific to each spooktacular look, I love that they can all still be used after the holiday to achieve multiple beauty trends. As a great bonus, all of the customized sets come with how-to instructions, so you don’t need to be a professional makeup artist to pull any of these looks off.
I decided to purchase the Sephora Beauty in a Box: Vampire collection ($26). The set contains everything you need to channel your inner Twlight, and includes the following products:
- False Lashes
- Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Rock n’ Roll Never Dies
- Retractable Waterproof Lip Liner in Red
- Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Red
- Nano Eyeliner in Midnight Black
With the instructions spread out over my sink, I easily applied the false eyelashes, eyeliner and eye shadow, all of which can also be used post-Halloween for a dramatic night-time look (think Kim Kardashian).
It took no more than ten minutes, and before I knew it, I was transformed into a seductive vampire (minus the fangs).
The eyelashes are quite long, so if you do wear them sans costume for a night out on the town, do t rim them and apply a few coats of mascara, so they blend in with your natural lashes.
And remember, red lips never go out of style. The red Ultra Shine lip gloss included in the Vampire kit is the perfect shade for all s kin tones.
After Halloween, wear it alone or over lipstick, but tone down the eye makeup and opt for neutral eye shadow tones instead.
The Sephora Beauty in a Box kits come in other frightful sets including Devil, Peackock, Get Sexy, Vegas Showgirl, and Make Up Tricks & Treats.
If you follow the simple instructions included with each kit, I guarantee your makeup will look scary…in a good way.
