Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Lip Gloss

Product Tested: pH Matchmaker pH Powered Lip Gloss – Light Pink 7598

What is it: Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Lip Gloss asserts that it is 1st Ever Lip Gloss with pH Power Complex designed to transform into your perfect shade within 60 seconds of application. The product also claims to last up to 10 hours.

How it works: Under controlled conditions, fluorescein Based Dye-senses the pH level of your skin & adjusts to your personalized color. Photochronic powders use light adjusting pigments to adapt to your environment so color looks the same indoors & outside.

Special Features: LED-powered wand lights up to allow for easy application in dim lightning and also features and a mirror or the side of the bottle, making quick touch-ups a breeze.

What I like: The gloss goes on clear, but really does change color right before your eyes. The hue matched well with my skin tone and was surprisingly pigmented. The color also lasts a long time; after I wiped away the gloss to get a more matte effect, my pout was still tinted with the color. The gloss feels silky and conditioning, and isn’t sticky.

Cost: $9.99 at and drugstores.

Sebamed Skin Care Review

For as long as I could remember, I’ve always suffered from hand eczema. This winter, my skin has been doing very well, but, I know that when summertime comes around I will be reaching for a tube of hydrocortisone, and wearing gloves just to wash my face. Whenever I’m approached by a skin care company to review a product, I’m never too excited because of the fear that the items I test may lead to an eczema breakout. But, when I was approached by a representative of Sebamed, a soap-free product line with same pH as healthy skin (pH 5), I was excited to test out the products, which are said to be suitable for people with problematic and sensitive skin.

Most products designed for eczema usually colorless, odorless, and don’t lather very well. This isn’t the case with the Sebamed Liquid Face and Body Wash. As I poured a small amount onto my washcloth, I was surprised to see a pretty turquoise ribbon of gel emerge from the bottle. The aroma of the wash is clean and fresh, reminiscent of as a lighter version of Irish Spring. Formulated with natural moisturizers allantoin and pentavitin, it lathered nicely and didn’t dry out my skin.

I followed the Liquid Face and Body Wash with the Moisturizing Body Lotion, which is enriched with chamomile extract and allantoin to soothe and moisturize. It was non-greasy, lightweight and moisturized very well. I absolutely adore the smell of the lotion. It has a soft, powdery fragrance that lasts for hours.

The following day, my skin wasn’t irritated, which is a good sign to me. I will defiantly be using this line of products during the summertime, when my skin is at its worst.
