During the holidays, when you are looking for gifts for your loved ones, it’s also important to remember the people who may not be receiving anything for the holidays. This is why I always look for gifts that give back. For the fourth year in a row, Kiehl’s Since 1851 has launched its Limited Edition Creme de Corps Holiday Collection. This year, the company invited New York Pop artist Kenny Scharf to design the four-piece collection, which consists of a body lotion, body butter and limited edition collectible Kenny Scharf “Squirt.”
Up to $200,000 of net profits from the sale of all the items will support over 40 children’s charities worldwide. In the United States, 100% of the proceeds will benefit RxArt, a national nonprofit thatplaces original fine art in patient, procedure and examination rooms of healthcare facilities.
Kiehl’s Holiday 2012 collection is now available in-stores and on Kiehls.com. Stop by a Kiehl’s store near you to check out the amazing display of Kenny Scharf products, or snag one of the manyassortments of Kiehl’s gift sets for someone special.
When you see an Andy Warhol painting, there’s no mistaking it. Vivid illustrations scream off his canvases, and are absolutely impossible to miss. This fall, beauty brand NARS created a limited edition collection inspired by the iconic artist’s pop-art . Exclusively available at Sephora, the collection features bright, electric colors for eyes, lips and cheeks. In celebration of the launch of NARS Pop Goes Sephora, various fun events will be held at Sephora stores across the country during the month of October. These events include a private cocktail launch party in Pittsburgh, PA, and the opportunity to meet makeup legend François Nars in NYC. Click here to see the full list of events in your area.
I’ve seen some interesting things done in the fashion world, and nothing has intrigued me more than fashion inspired by food.
Joy Campia is an artist who focuses on particularly crocheted sculpture and wearable art. None of the wearable art she creates is mass-produced, and due to the one-of-a-kind nature of each piece, they are quite pricy. The food dresses (the hamburger dress has sold) are in the $900 range, and smaller pieces are around $180.
The SouZouCreations’ Shop makes handmade jewelry, cell phone charms, pins, pendants..etc. The word SouZou means “creation through imagination” and this is certainly reflected in all of the company’s artistic designs. There is great attention to detail in each mouthwatering piece, and the prices are relatively cheap.
